Nisha Khatri is an undergraduate student at Caldwell University majoring in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry. Her research interests bridge the gap between rigorous wet-lab techniques and biocomputation, with previous academic experience ranging from C. elegans assays to developing predictive ecological models using NASA satellite data.This summer at the COMPASS Center as an Undergraduate Summer Intern, she is thrilled to join Dr. Laura Goodman’s lab to study tick-borne pathogens and help generate the biological data needed to stress-test predictive epidemiological models. Outside of the lab, Nisha enjoys traveling, painting, embroidery, and reading novels.
