Kateland Sipe

Kateland Sipe is a master’s student in Computer Science and Applications at Virginia Tech, advised by Dr. Murali. She earned two B.S. degrees in Biology and Mathematics with a specialization in Data Science from Bowling Green State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a research assistant then a research data analyst in the Estes laboratory at Oregon Health and Science University researching HIV and Tuberculosis immune microenvironments. Her current research focuses on developing computational models to predict viral host barrier properties for pandemic prevention.
